Dylan Asena

I help diagnose problems and make improvements happen.

My background is commercial, but my strongest work connects data, people and processes: understanding what is getting in the way, designing a practical solution and helping a team put it into action.

Results & experience

Commercial results are part of my story. The transferable skill is knowing how to investigate performance, improve the customer journey and help people work more effectively.

Processes & coaching

  • Practical implementation

I have worked hands-on with CRM and workflow systems, improved communication sequences and coached team members through changes.

About me

I enjoy being given a messy problem, speaking to the people involved and finding out what needs to change.

Diagnosis

I use CRM, customer and performance data to look for root causes and patterns.

People

I work with founders, managers and team members to challenge assumptions and build support.

Implementation

I turn recommendations into practical changes to systems, processes and ways of working.

My experience has been built in commercial and sales environments, where I have worked on performance diagnosis, customer journeys, qualification processes and team development. I have analysed customer and lead data, worked with marketing on targeting, improved pre-call communication and helped redesign payment and offer structures around customer behaviour.

The part I want to take into my next role is the full improvement process: investigate the problem, test the assumptions, develop options, get people behind the solution and help implement it. I am comfortable presenting recommendations, challenging senior stakeholders constructively and having the supportive but firm conversations that help a team improve.

Experience in practice

Examples of the work behind my interest in business improvement, customer experience and implementation.

Finding the cause of declining performance

I analysed qualification and disqualification data down to individual variables to understand which customer characteristics correlated with successful sales.

Improving the customer journey

I worked on pre-call communication, email sequences, qualification and offer structures to address friction in the customer journey.

Connecting the data to the people doing the work

I reviewed performance and behavioural differences between stronger and weaker team members, then used coaching, clearer goals and accountability to support improvement.

How I work

Good analysis needs to lead to a change people can understand, use and sustain.

Understand the problem.
Make the improvement happen.

I start with the evidence and the people closest to the problem. I look for bottlenecks, develop possible solutions and explain the tradeoffs. Then I help put the agreed changes into practice and review what happens.

My next role

I am looking to bring this experience into business improvement, customer experience or implementation work, with a meaningful role in diagnosing the problem and shaping the solution.

Contribution

Where I can contribute

Roles involving process improvement, customer onboarding, service improvement or business analysis with practical delivery are a strong direction for me. I bring commercial awareness, analytical thinking and experience working with people to change how things are done.

Let’s talk about your team

I am based near Stroud, Gloucestershire, and open to suitable remote or hybrid opportunities. If you need someone who can investigate a problem, work with stakeholders and help turn a plan into action, I would welcome a conversation.
